Countdown to our 2nd Annual West Marketplace on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 3PM!

This year, the last Service Learning Project of the year kicked off on the heels of Earth Day. In the weeks leading up to the marketplace, students are not only learning how to invest in our planet but each grade is applying what they learn by working on crafts to sell at the marketplace!

Kindergarteners are gathering treasures from their homes and coming together in pairs to create whimsical fairy houses.

First graders are upcycling plastic water bottles and corks to make beautiful flower portraits.

Second graders will be getting their hands dirty with moss and yarn to form hanging Earth orbs to adorn your windows.

Third graders are turning old toys and trinkets into super cool Rube Goldberg Machine Kits.

Fourth graders will be utilizing their new 3D printing skills to showcase Pro-Earth phrases on items such as keychains, bookmarks and magnets.

And finally, our fifth graders will be taking beautiful flowers from seed to seedling for you to plant and help support our pollinators!

From these amazing crafts to the various produce from our yards to the delicious, home-baked goods, there will be something for everyone! All proceeds will benefit this year's Charity Partner, local nonprofit Sustainable San Mateo County. SSMC focuses on economic, environmental and social equity issues that lead to sustainable practices that make for a healthier San Mateo County and its future. They will be leading a school-wide assembly to show students how their own actions have an impact close to home.

Westie Cash presale for this community event has ended. But don't fret! You will be able to purchase Westie Cash during West MarketPlace with a Venmo account.

**Westie Cash will be in $5 increments
